Ushanandini Mohanraj

I am a PhD student at the Department of Virology, University of Helsinki. My research interests lie in studying novel viral pathogens. Apart from practicing science, I am also passionate about communicating science to non scientists in a fun and engaging way. I am host of the writing workshop series part of the Science Basement. I am also member of the Blogging science team and a contributing author. I also design illustrations for blog covers and social media posts. My other interests lies in integrating art and augmented reality tools to storytelling in science and would love to experiment with different media.
