I am a doctoral student at the University of Helsinki working in the RNAcious laboratory. My research goal is to unveil the biotechnological potential of tRNA modifications in recombinant protein translation. My work is mostly focused on molecular biology, although I also have a background in microbiology and food science. Apart from science, I love to go to the gym, do yoga, or keep myself busy with some arts and crafts. In early 2024, I joined The Science Basement as an instructor at the Youth Science club, and quickly after that became the project leader. I knew this was a project I want to be part of when I saw the kids’ enthusiasm on my first ever workshop! My wish is to bring science closer to youth and continue with science communication in various forms.
