Welcome back to The Science Basement Podcast!
Our guest this week is Minna Myllys, who is a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratoire de Physique et Chimie de l’Environnement et de l’Espace (LPC2E) of CNRS in Orléans, France. She works on data from the Rosetta spacecraft to study the plasma environment around comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko, in order to understand how the comet’s coma interacts with the solar wind.
…and, of course, it wouldn’t be an episode of the TSB podcast without a science anecdote. This time we talk about Edmond Halley and the famous Halley’s comet!
